In the month of March, as the days were passing by quite normally with a tinge of “Corona” in the air, who thought it would eventually push all of us in our homes for whole lot of 8 months and still counting. As the initial days were seemingly quite relaxing in terms of home-made food and comfort, it gradually made us thinking as to is it really just a virus out-break or a deeper insight is to be drawn from the past activities or forth coming consequences. Today, as I summarize a few common learnings nearly all of us experienced, I would like you to keep in pace with me till the end, happy reading!

Call of Comfort: As we hastily packed our bags and came home in a hassle, little did we realize it would not be days, but a span of months that we would not be able to live the rather “normal” life. Hostellers and PG people thought of it as the most relaxing call. The home cooked food and the luxury of our bedrooms seemingly conveyed a “perfect time-out” from our hectic schedules. But as the journey continued, these aspects seemingly blurred a bit. Most of us tried to explore the plethora of content on the web, as streaming services got a boom in subscribers, hardly did we realize the craze of even the most fascinating shows won’t last long.

Juggling along Work-Life Balance: This term never gained the weightage it holds until our work and personal lives started to mingle, leaving us always emotionally and physically exhausted. Professionals realized the importance of managing their work, family and health more than ever.

Rising from Crisis: As news channels continued to pour in heart-breaking and most devastating news in terms of life, nature, anything and everything imaginable, life seemed to be tough for every one. Be it school going students who had no idea their classes would go live, college grads with high pressure of their jobs, already working peeps and the old age ones as well. Eventually, everyone got their own sense of realization and self-introspection came in play. Some could handle it well, others faced their share of hurdles. Others honed their skills and talents and even took life-impacting decisions. Eventually everyone started to assume this to be the “new normal”.

Importance of Planning: Be it on individual, organizational, national or world level, the importance of financial and health-care planning hit us more than ever. As is rightly said. “A stitch in time, saves nine”. Could there be a more subtle and apt lesson we could learn amidst all this? People from all strata of society saw a impactful wave like never before. Job and hunger crisis had their own visible impacts.

Glory of Nature: Though for a short span, till people started resuming their chores. Nature sung the silent melody as it healed in terms of fuel consumption, drop in food wastage in restaurants and endless list goes. It was not tremendous in effect, but earth too got a “time-out” she deserves.

As the world is seeing a throttling phase in terms of economy, healthcare and all sorts of calamities be it natural or even inhuman experiences we hear of every now and then, there is utmost need to take immense care of your wellbeing be it physically, emotionally or financially. Keeping yourself ready for the worst days, helps you keep your calm and composure in the toughest times. Lend a helping hand in whatever capability you can. Be generous in your ways and see the wonders it brings. Continual efforts maintaining hygiene, avoiding social contact and promoting awareness is crucial to come out of this crisis effectively.

As is rightly said, “Sometimes the best you can do is breathe and have faith that everything will work out for the best.”
