Stay motivated and conquer your Dreams

Achieving dreams is seldom an easy process, it requires your mind,soul and body to be invested. Motivation is often the result of action, not the cause of it. Getting started, even in very small ways, is a form of active inspiration that naturally produces momentum. We often dream big, but forget to plan our actions which would lead us to that goal. Hence, proper motivation and guidance are crucial to keep one’s mind on track and achieve what’s desired.

1.Act far sighted and keep the end goal in your head:

Setting the bigger picture and dividing up the work is the most effective way to achieve a task. It just acts as a jig-saw puzzle, even if one block doesn’t sets in right at current time, may latter it can be fitted well if steps are taken in the desired direction. Keeping track of your goals and checking your progress can help keep you motivated day in and day out. Make sure to reward yourself every time you achieve your weekly goals.

2. Prioritize your life:

People often waste their precious time on people, habits and thoughts that are not healthy for their physical, mental and spiritual being. Hence, try to get things right. Prioritize your health. Follow a diet plan, go for morning walks, join a gym. Eat healthy as it keeps you physically and mentally energized. Decide on what actions will pull you towards you dreams and what would push you away form them. Plan out a time table accordingly and follow it religiously.

3. Stay surrounded by positive people:

“A person is known by the company he keeps”-it’s aptly said that person induces the speaking and daily habits of the people he is surrounded with. If you are an extrovert and outgoing person, then try to choose your company wisely, it has a gradual yet drastic impact on your thinking and way of living.

4. Read good books, listen to good music:

Reading books like The power of positive thinking, The power of your subconscious mind, The 7 habits of highly effective people etc. add on to your knowledge as well as provide a boost to your mental status and improves your being. Music has been scientifically proven to have an impact on the thoughts and actions of a person.

5. Give yourself breaks:

You may be burning yourself out, and a much-needed break might be just what you need. Pursue a hobby like gardening, singing, dancing or playing an instrument. This helps you to refresh yourself and even enhances your concentration level. Going out for a movie or dinner might also prove to be real mind boosters.

Lastly, i would like to conclude that whether you realize it or not, motivation is a huge force in your life; and it needs to be harnessed in order to excel and actually enjoy whatever it is that you’re doing on a daily basis. Satisfaction is the key for happiness. Mind your own journey, realize that you are different and so will be your journey towards your goal. Avoid any comparisons and measure your capabilities and improvement with your own self. I would end with a quote from The Pursuit of Happiness which goes as:

“ Don’t just talk that talk, walk it and go forward. Also, the walk didn’t have to be long strides; baby steps counted too. Go forward.”
